Frequently Asked Questions / Answers
Security
What do I do if I suspect someone is trespassing in the neighborhood hilltop or pool?
If you are sure that the person is a trespasser, you can call the police (911). If the police catch the violator, they will issue a warning. Upon future recurring offense, police will issue citations.
What if I do not know for sure if someone lives in the Alstead neighborhood?
There are hundreds of residents within Alstead. It’s unlikely you will know everyone that lives here. If you are not sure if someone is a resident, you can simply ask. If you are apprehensive about asking, they do not answer, and/or you are unsure of their answer, it is for you to decide whether their presence warrants a call to the police. If you have good reason to believe it does, then call 911.
Do we have any tools that allow us to report trespassers after the fact? Can we use the Flock cameras to identify people/cars that are not from our neighborhood and provide them to the police?
While the Flock cameras can identify cars that don’t typically frequent Alstead, the cameras are meant to support the police in the event of a crime. It would be unfeasible and untenable to alert the police every time an unrecognized car enters/exits the subdivision
